Accelerated Nursing Programs in Louisiana

Taking the program in your home state can save you $10-25K, but getting into the program as soon as you want could be a little tricky, as the competition to get in with so much unemployment is really great.
You are on the right track, though, if you want to make sure you are not hopelessly unemployed after getting the training. The Bureau of Labor and Statistics makes it clear that the demand for registered nurses will continue for years to come.
The Southeastern Louisiana University accelerated bachelor of science (BSN) application deadline is February 15 for the May admission and September 15 for the January admission. This accelerated track is designed to be completed in 18 months. ww.selu.edu
The Louisiana College accelerated BSN program is designed to be completed in a 4 semester curricular template. The college is located in Pineville Louisiana.
The Louisiana State University Health Sciences Centers accelerated BSN program design is to completed in less than 2 years and is comprised of five 16 week blocks. The program is called CARE BSN. It has competition to enter like most of the BSN programs across the country.
Although the University of Louisiana at Lafayette is listed as offering an accelerated BSN by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, I could not find a page on their website specific to the accelerated program.
Please remember that you may have to attend out of the state of Louisiana to have the best opportunity to get into the accelerated program if the waiting list is long at each one of the above locations listed.
