According the the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, there is one school in the state that offers an accelerated Master’s degree program. In other words, there is not currently a college or university in New Hampshire that is offering an accelerated BSN (bachelor of science degree in nursing) at the present time.
The accelerated Masters program in nursing is offered through the University of New Hampshire. You can pursue a bachelor of science in nursing there, but it will not be a fast track program.
Don’t give up just because there is not a accelerated registered nursing training program in New Hampshire, because you are going to need persistence to get into an accelerated nursing program in New York or anywhere else. The reason is that many people are pursuing the nurse training program because there is high unemployment and a lack of jobs in many fields right now.
If you have done your homework to pursue an accelerated nurse program, you already know you can complete this training in usually one year to 18 months, depending on the individual college or university that offers it. You will pay more out of state, but don’t give up.
Registered nurses get paid very well, even right from graduation. The Bureau of Labor Statistics indicates that the average full time nurse makes a minimum of $62k per year. It is not unusual for a nurse to make $80k or more with experience and work setting.
Most of the registered nurse jobs in New Hampshire will be in bigger cities. That is because there are more facilities in the bigger cities that need nurses. You can work in a hospital, nursing home or home care setting. Many nurses go on to become nurse practitioners. This adds more responsibility, but nurse practitioners are becoming much more popular these days.
Any job positions in a health care field tend to be more available not matter where you live because people need medical attention, surgery and services no matter what is happening with the economy.
