You can expect the base salary in these locations to be about $99,980 with an hourly wage of $50.81 per hour according to the report.

The Plains states of IA, KS, MN, MO, NE, ND, and SD tend to be the lowest paying states across the country. The base salary in these areas averages about $84,780 with an hourly rate of $42.22.

Right behind the Plains states for Maternity Nurse Salaries are the salaries in the Great Lakes states of IL, IN, MI, OH, and WI. These base salaries are around $85,090 with an hourly income of $41.92.
